Well, the good news is that we're back and we're going strong. The site has been showing great speeds and shows no signs of stopping... The bad news is that the company that shut that server down also formatted my server's drive. That means that I've lost all of the existing content and I have no way of getting it back since they also "conveniently lost" all of the backups!

What a mess!!!

If you are a tutorial author and just happen to have the existing tutorials content if you could email it to me (webmaster@easycfm.com) I will update it accordingly. I will also be sending all author's emails and will be doing some spring (in the summer) cleaning of the content (removing invalid tutorials, etc) to bring things up to speed and to make things better then ever!

I appologize for any issues this causes any of you; but trust me.. I'm pissed too! In the end it might be a good thing simply because it will get the site a much needed update and facelift and make things better going forward!

Since we've lost quite a bit of content; I will be having a big tutorial contest start July 10th, 2008 so make sure you submit a tutorial. The prize is going to be delivered as follows:

Winner - $1,000.00 in cash
Second Place - $750.00 in cash
Third Place - $500.00 in cash

So make sure you get your creative juices flowing and post some new content... More to come on this!

In addition; I am building some new sections to the site...

ColdFusion Articles - I will be paying for each published article on this section. So write up some good articles on ColdFusion, Server Management, etc. I'm working out the pay structure; but it will give you all some cash for getting things in place (guaranteed and not in a prize structure)... So We're calling all authors! 'm anticipating somewhere in the range of $50-$100 per published work. But again, more to come on this.

ColdFusion Hosting - I am building a network that will allow all the ColdFusion hsoting companies to log in and put in their services. This will allow them to advertise their services free and for you guys to find the right ColdFusion host. I am working on this as I type :) More to come!

Community Interviews - This section will be me interviewing the community. Did you build something cool in ColdFusion? Does your company offer something out of the norm? Are you a leader inthe industry? I want to hear from you... Send me an email and we'll get you and yours interviewed on the site.

My Products - Do you have a piece of code? an application? or somethign that you sell or give away for free? I'm going to be building a complete product delivery system that you can submit your content to. In addition you can use to buy from. I am working on implementing a true merchant processing system to handle your purchase in real time and then provie an interface for developers to get paid for their applications. Think of it as a ColdFusion Product store that sells applications and more. This will be a great way to promote your products and leverage the traffic EasyCFM.COM gets to make more sales! Last but not least...

Work Showcase - I'm going to build a true work showcase section of the site. Where developers like you can post your work... Upload content associated with it and then talk abut challenges and benefits of th work. A great way to promote your skils; and also your sevices!
